Well, well. This has been pretty interesting so far! Like Casey mentioned, there has been so much that Celie has gone through. Do you guys think that this is the end for Celie's crazy life? And, possibly things may get better for her? Also, is Celie sending these letters to Nettie? Or is she just addressing them to her instead of God? In your opinion, do you think Nettie's letters are as good as Celie's? Because to me, it's kind of boring to hear about Africa after a while, although the connection between Nettie and Celie's kids is really shocking! What do you guys think?

I feel that Celie is not sending the letters to Nettie, but instead just addressing them to her instead of god. I do agree with you that the letters the Nettie are sending are a little boring and I feel that the only real interest or connection between the letters now are the children. Although Celie and Nettie are sisters and they love each other, I feel like if the children were not there, then Nettie and Celie would not still be in touch because if it wasn't for the children, I feel that if Nettie didn't get letters back from Celie, after a while she would have stopped. But because there is so much going on about the children and the story about their parents, I feel that we are able to hear Nettie's side of the story because of this. So although it is boring, I feel that it is an important part.
I think this will be the end to Cellies bad life because she now has the two people she loves the most and now she is able to stand up for her self. I think she was really sending them because at one point it says that the letters she sends were return to her. I agree with u it was kind of boring sometimes reading Netties letters.
Well, what do you really mean by bad life? Like, everyone will eventually be unlucky in life. Do you mean her complete bad-luck streak? Yea I think it's the end of her constantly having bad luck, but I think she'll probably still be unlucky sometimes. I agree with Belinda about the letters and the Africa letters are really boring... so I just skim them. :]
I agree with Johnathan and how boring the African letters are...although i actually read them Johnathan! I think that now that Celie has Shug Avery in her life her bad luck streak is over becasue now that Celie has found love her life is more calm and peaceful. That was a great question that Toria brought up about wether or not Celie is actually sending the letters to Nettie becasue i did not think of that but i don't know i thought she was sending the letters becasue why wouldn't she want to keep in touch with her sister?
I honestly never would have thought about all the connections with the stepfather and her missing kids and all that. It was an interesting twist to the story in my eyes. I think netties letters are also boring because there kind of repetitive but i think its good for celie to be talking to her sister considering its one if not the only family member she actually likes or cares about.
Well, Jonathan, I think it's kind of obvious that she has had a pretty bad life not just one "bad luck streak". I agree with Belinda that all of these letters are very important no matter how boring they do seem. To answer my own question, I think that since she had been addressing the letters to God and then replaced him with Nettie, then she is not sending them to Nettie. (but we don't really know anyways)
